Sushi Deli 1

We’ve been coming to Sushi Deli 1 for about a year now, and it’s become one of our go-to spots in Hillcrest. For the price point, the quality is consistently great and the menu is surprisingly broad — there’s always something new to try. Our favorites are the Lemon Pepper Edamame, Coco Loco, Sunkissed Roll, Motion of the Ocean, and Island Breeze Roll. Parking can be tricky, so we usually leave the car at our gym a couple blocks away and walk over. On the rare occasions there’s a wait, we just pop into the bar a few doors down until our table’s ready — easy fix. Service is fast and efficient, even when it’s busy, and the staff keeps things moving smoothly. I also love that they switch things up with specials like Taco Tuesday and limited-time rolls you can’t get anywhere else. For a casual sushi spot that delivers value, variety, and consistency every time — Sushi Deli 1 nails it.

Sushi is fresh, flavorful and all around fantastic. The staff is very friendly and kind. Food was brought out in a timely manner and it was delicious.

Visit for dinner and got the Lime Time and Katie rolls along with carnitas eggrolls. The rolls were great. The eggrolls were good too.

I had an absolutely outstanding experience at this sushi restaurant. The food was incredibly fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor, easily some of the best sushi I’ve had in a long time. I also want to highlight the exceptional service from Sasha W. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming throughout my visit. Her professionalism stood out, and her warm presence made the dining experience even better. She carries herself with such grace and confidence, and she’s truly beautiful in a professional and elegant way. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to friends. A truly top-notch experience from start to finish! P.S. Sasha W’s service was so impeccable I will be asking for her hand in marriage and take her last name.

Very good! Was especially impressed with the loaded fries... sushi was perfect. Service and atmosphere top notch. Go there. You won't be disappointed. Will be back! Had a blast!

Incredible experience! We came in 30 minutes before close but didn’t feel rushed at all. The food was amazing of course. Our server (Tasha? Tonya? I’m sorry I forgot your name ) was lovely and incredibly kind. After we explained we were in town because we evacuated from LA due to the fires, she paid our bill for our group of 3, which was not an insignificant amount. Even though we’re from out of town, we definitely felt the love. 12/10 experience, I’ll absolutely be coming back when I get the chance.
